Carbon Zero Challenge Finalists – A Broad Outline

Carbon Zero Challenge 2017-18 received an overwhelming response among South India Colleges and Start-ups:

  • 531 Applications Received in five thematic areas
  • 54 Teams shortlisted for Interview on July 18
  • 20+ Teams finally selected to go to the Phase II of CZC

The selected 20+ finalist teams are currently developing prototypes of their projects – coached by expert Technical and Business Mentors during the prototyping phase.

Know your IP rights

Participants are free to protect their intellectual property (IP) before submitting their ideas/applications. Carbon Zero Challenge does not undertake to protect, license, buy or stake any claim to the ownership of IP contained in any submission.

The role of Carbon Zero Challenge, therefore, is limited to that of a facilitator - to encourage innovation , explore potential incubation of the shortlisted entries and help bring individual inventors , industry , investors together

Participants are therefore cautioned to take any steps they deem necessary, to protect their IP before any public display of their inventions.

Notwithstanding the above, Carbon Zero Challenge shall on its part, take reasonable measures to ensure confidentiality of ideas submitted.
